Vibrant volunteers wanted!
Did you know that volunteering is a great way to contribute your time and skills to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our clients.
Being a volunteer with us can open the door to many exciting and rewarding experiences and as a volunteer you support the services that assist our clients to stay in their own homes.
Why Volunteer?
- Volunteering is good for your mental and emotional health, which can benefit your physical health too.
- Volunteering gives you a sense of belonging and community.
- Volunteering is a great way to get out and connect with like-minded people.
Who can Volunteer?
Anyone can volunteer, and the time that you volunteer is based on your availability. We have a flexible program to work around your availability, no matter whether that is on a weekly basis, monthly or helping out daily.
Volunteering Options
There are a number of volunteering options for you to choose from, it is your choice as to whether you pick one or multiple.
Transport
Do you have a full WA drivers license with no restrictions? Are you a confident driver who loves to chat? If so, then this is the perfect choice for you!
You will start and finish your day at either our Harvey or Australind office, as you will need to collect and return our vehicle that you drive for the day. Your day will consist of collecting and dropping off our clients to medical, shopping and general appointments.
As a volunteer driver you would need to undergo training in how to provide first aid, we would cover all costs for this training. At the end of this training you will have some basic first aid knowledge that can give you confidence in your day to day life.
Activities
Do you like to be part of a team and enjoy having some fun? If so, then this is the perfect choice for you!
You will assist in the set up our activity areas, located in Harvey and Australind, in conjunction with this you will be preparing and serving drinks and meals. When the hard work is over, you get to enjoy lunch and a cuppa and chat with our clients and bring out your fun side by participating in the games and activities.
Outings
Do you like to explore the beautiful South West whilst spending the day with great company? If so, then this is the perfect choice for you!
You will assist with the preparation and serving of morning tea, accompany clients around various venues and the best part is that you get to provide great conversation and companionship during the day.
